Lucky Number Entrepreneur
I have always loved the number 13. I know…it’s supposed to be an unlucky number…the stuff of bad horror movie legend. But, there is just a nice ring to it, I was born on the 13th day of the month and it seems to have a bit of extra luck in it. As entrepreneurs, we could all use a bit of extra luck, so welcome to a quick summary of the 13 most important traits needed to be a successful entrepreneur. Over the next few weeks, I’ll be profiling entrepreneurs that embody each of these traits. It should be as much inspiration as education.
The thirteen traits required to be a successful entrepreneur include:
1. Simplicity
2. Passion & Compassion
3. Innovation
4. Persistence
5. A dose of insanity
6. Humility
7. A love of adventure
8. The ability to be a chameleon
9. Discipline
10. At least a bit of a maverick streak
11. Integrity
12. A commitment to execution
13. A good gut and the courage to follow it
Sure, I know there are a lot more. And, sure I know that I have left some out but that was more by choice than by an error of omission (for example: an appetite for risk is often cited but an entrepreneur is a risk minimizer not a risk maximizer). So, get ready to take a peak inside 13 entrepreneurs that bring these traits to life…

Is this a tease or a cliff hanger? Looking forward to your insights on each of the lucky thirteen.
