The Art of Doing Too Many Things

Alright, so I’m not an Oprah fan. It’s not that I have anything against her I just can’t say that I’ve ever watched her show, read her magazine, watched her television network or read books off her list. What I can say though is that she is an entrepreneur and is proving that you can do a lot of things at once as an entrepreneur. For that, I have to respect and admire her.

The latest news is all about her launching a TV network with the Discovery Channel. But, this news has come with a lot of criticism that she is doing too many things. Well, maybe she is. Or, maybe she isn’t. But, as an entrepreneur, my guess is that you want to do “too many things” yourself. Don’t Skimp On The Toppings

We have been working hard around REBEL the last few weeks; really really hard. So, it seemed like a good idea the other night to head out of work and have a bit of the weekend in the middle of the week. So, I lined up a movie to watch and my wife and I ordered a pizza to enjoy as a simple, but tasty, treat. I was craving a hot pizza with dripping sauce loaded with toppings. I was craving stuffing my selftoo full, sitting and watching some lame and easy movie and just relaxing. What I was left with was another entrepreneurial lesson…don’t skimp on the toppings. A father learns about entrepreneurship

A couple days ago my wife and I showered our baby with another butchering of “Happy Birthday” in celebration of her 4 month birthday. Lily continues to amaze us each and every day and I could write blog post after blog post about her. But, I’ll save that for later.

You often hear entrepreneurs describe their businesses as their “babies” and hear that starting a business is like having a baby. You have to nurture it. Your heart becomes bigger to love it. Etc… Continue reading
